Review Update! I didn't want to post a review based on stars that could negatively impact this small business. However I felt people should know my experience with them so they dont waste thier time like I did. I contacted M&B Tile a week ago for a quote to tile a small laundry room. When I spoke with Jessica, she informed me that they charge a $60 fee to provide any quote. I explained I was willing to share measurements, photos, and material details and even facetime video call for an estimate, and she agreed to give a rough idea if I emailed the all the info and photos she requested for the quote. A week passed with no response, so I called back. She claimed they hadn't received my email, then replied directly to that same email saying they still wouldn't provide a ballpark estimate without me paying for it. I was disappointed, as I chose them for their good reviews, but this approach feels unprofessional and like a waste of time. It feels wrong to have to pay them just to get a quote.

Marcos and Bruno were professional, kind, and honest. We hired them to replace some cracked tiles in our shower floor. After removing the floor tile, Marcos discovered that our drain had been installed incorrectly, and the lead shower pan was deteriorating and needed replacement. Although installing a shower pan is outside their scope, they found a competitively priced plumber for the job. What began as a small repair turned into a larger project, but Marcos and Bruno managed everything seamlessly, coordinating with the plumber and minimizing the work and stress for us. Marcos carefully laid the new tile with a proper slope toward the drain, and we're thrilled with the results. He arrived promptly each day to oversee the plumber and complete the rebuild. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Marcos and his crew did an outstanding job on the walls and tiles for our (very) small master bath renovation. They were thorough, communicative, and attentive, kept a clean job site (tough when working in a very small space) and the finished product looks amazing. We recommend this company for anyone doing tile work in and around NYC. They were delightful to work with and kept us informed at every step of the process.

Right from my introductory email, communication was prompt, courteous and helpful. We hired Marcos and his assistant to retile our hallway and they did an absolutely beautiful job, not just laying down new tile but also thoughtfully handling all the transitions into other rooms and making everything look cohesive and clean. Anytime there was a choice to make, Marcos took a minute to check in and ask what my preference would be. It was clear he really cared about making us happy. Because I work at home, Marcos did everything he could to make sure that we could occupy the same space during the week he was here, being as tidy and unobtrusive as possible. Marcos even took the time to repair some of our broken shower tiles -- not at all part of the original job, but he expressed concern that we might be risking damage behind the walls if they were left in such poor condition. I was shocked by what he was able to accomplish in terms of sealing things up and making our bathroom look remarkably improved. Marcos is a dream contractor, capable not just of fine craftsmanship but also the nuance that it takes to integrate new tile into an old apartment. Amazing experience - 5 out of 5 stars, no notes.

My new tile looks beautiful and it was done quickly! I can't speak to value because I didn't get quotes from anywhere else. However, two other companies tried to scam me by telling me I would need to get an entire new water pan in my shower because they insisted it must be leaking which it is not. Marcos + Bruno did not try to scam me so I went with them!
